It’s been about three years since we exited stealth with the first generally available container security platform. And what a ride it’s been.
Our contributions to NIST SP800-190 and the Kubernetes CIS benchmarks have helped define best practices for cloud native computing. And we’re proud to have hundreds of customers, including over 20% of the Fortune 100, using Twistlock to protect environments spanning hundreds of thousands of nodes.
But as exciting as our growth is, the growth of the ecosystem as a whole is what truly astounds us. The rapid rise of Kubernetes as the dominant orchestration provider, Red Hat’s acquisition of CoreOS, to last week’s GA release of Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS) – the ecosystem is becoming larger and stronger every day.
This rapid growth and constant evolution can often confuse, making it harder for customers to get started with and be successful on their cloud native journeys. That’s why it’s more important than ever for vendors in the space – solution providers, system integrators, consultants, and resellers alike – to work together to help usher in the new age of application delivery.
Today, we’re announcing another big step for Twistlock and the cloud native ecosystem. The Twistlock Advantage program is the industry’s first partner program that brings together Cloud, DevOps and Security vendors, consultants and resellers to help our customers securely adopt cloud native technology and DevSecOps best practices.
What does this mean for you, the customer?
Securely moving to containers, serverless and other cloud native platforms requires new operational models as well as new technology platforms. One of the common threads we hear in conversation is the difficulty of centralizing security, visibility and compliance when making this change. Members in the Twistlock Advantage Program will work closely with Twistlock to ensure seamless integration of security at every step of the cloud native journey, delivering technology integrations, consulting services, and reference architectures to our shared customers – so they can go from unsure to secure faster than ever before.
